Delete my account and data

This page is for Mochilu (the app by Rômulo Carvalho, package `com.romulocarvalho.mochilu`, on the App Store and on Google Play). It explains how to delete your account and your data, what is erased, what stays and for how long.

In the app (fastest)

1. Open Settings. 2. Tap Privacy and data. 3. Tap Delete my account, read what happens, and confirm with Yes, delete my account.

It takes effect right away and needs nothing else from you: no e-mail, no password and no help from anyone.

You can also delete just part of your data without closing the account: remove photos, documents, items, notices and expenses one by one inside the app, and withdraw the consent for AI reading, children's photos or health data in Settings.

By e-mail (without the app)

If you can no longer open the app, write to romulorgc@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data". Accounts have no e-mail, so we will ask you to confirm with a code shown in the app or, if you no longer have the phone, to describe your family so that its administrator can confirm. We answer within 30 days.

What is erased

Right away, when you delete the account:

• your name, language and time zone;
• your devices, the notification token of each one and your notification settings;
• your consents (AI reading, children's photos, health data);
• the items that were private to you;
• the notices you sent, with their text and photos, and the files you uploaded that were not attached to anything;
• your link to each family. If you were the last parent or guardian, the family is deleted as a whole, with every photo and file in it.

What stays, and why

• What you shared with your family (appointments, tasks, photos, documents, messages, expenses, swaps) stays for the other members, because it is a shared record. Your name is erased and you appear as a former member. Anyone in the family can delete what is theirs.
• Purchase records (transaction identifier, product and dates), with no link to you any more. They are kept for billing and fraud control and are needed to honour refunds. They hold no name, no e-mail and no card number: payments are handled by Apple or Google.
• A basic activity log (who did what, never the content) is kept for 180 days, and the receipts used only to avoid duplicates for 90 days. After you delete the account they no longer point to a name.

Backups

A backup copy of the database is made every hour and each copy is kept for 48 hours, on the same server. Deleted data leaves the backups within 48 hours.

Subscription

Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription. Cancel it yourself:

• Google Play (Android): Play Store, your profile picture, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Mochilu, Cancel subscription.
• App Store (iPhone): Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Mochilu.

Export first

If you want a copy before deleting: Settings, Privacy and data, Export my data. It gives you a file with everything you can access.
